Should I use sugar scrubs all year 'round?
Yes! Exfoliation isn't just for winter. We love dewy, gorgeous, hydrated skin all year long, and know you do too. Dry, rough, dead skin builds up through all seasons and our scrubs are designed to rid you of the unsightly patches that keep your skin from looking and feeling its best, no matter the time of year. SSSC scrubs are made with coconut and Vitamin E oils, both of which are great moisturizers and re-hydrators.
What are the benefits of using a sugar scrub?
So many! Sugar granules are rounder and less abrasive than salt, making them a gentler exfoliant. A natural source of glycolic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid or AHA, sugar breaks down layers of dead skin and smooths the skin's surface. It also speeds up rehydration, keeping skin conditioned and moisturized.
Your skin is hydrated and dewy from the oils; your mood benefits from the essential oils which calm, invigorate, and/or soothe; gentle exfoliation increases circulation; rough patches are diminished; stretch marks fade and your complexion glows. Plus, its fun taking a little extra time in the bathroom to focus on you and your well-being.
Where are SSSC sugar scrubs and polishes made?
We are a proudly Canadian company and all of our small-batch products are made here using local suppliers to source, curate, develop, make and ship all of our products throughout Canada and the USA. Shipping is free for orders $50 and up!
Do you make a coffee scrub?
No. For a few reasons, SSSC does not make a coffee scrub. Coffee is not fine enough and can cause micro-tears on the surface of your skin. It's also really messy in the shower. Additionally, it's important to be aware that ground coffee can block your pipes, requiring the services of a plumber.

Are you vegan?
Yes! We use simple, plant-based ingredients you can pronounce, like unscented coconut oil, vegan white and demerera sugars, Vitamin E oil, pure essential oils and Olivem 1000, a PEG-free* self-emulsifying multifunctional ingredient made from olive oil. We are actively working on our vegan certification, product by product.
Are you cruelty free?
Yes! All of our products are naturally derived and cruelty-free. We have never and will never test on animals and are actively working on our Leaping Bunny certification.
Are your jars and pouches recyclable?
Yes! Rinse them out first and drop into your blue bin. Not all cities are able to process them, so check with your local facility.
Are you allergy friendly?
If you have a nut allergy or sensitivity, we recommend checking with your healthcare provider before using our products. We use coconut oil as our base oil for all our scrubs.
Are you gluten free?
Yes! None of our products contain gluten; a protein found in wheat, barley, rye and triticale (a cross between wheat and rye).
